Selected examples from Phoenix Additive production, showing functional components, advanced materials and manufacturing methods rather than stock imagery or decorative prints.
Rusting stainless-steel return grates needed replacing. We reviewed the CAD, printed one PETG-CF fit sample, then made 22 final parts in PPA-CF. The customer confirmed that every part fitted and passed their load tests beyond the requirement.
A buyer returned with revised case files for monitor, pole, suction-cup and other mounting arrangements. See how physical prototypes and material changes took the project from a first PLA print to later PETG and PETG-CF variations, produced through our sister business.
This component was manufactured in carbon-fibre reinforced ABS using a separate support filament through a dual-nozzle system. The process allows supported features and difficult geometries to be produced cleanly while retaining the properties required from the engineering material.
This is one of our functional PETG-CF parts being printed in-house. We use carbon-fibre reinforced PETG when a part benefits from extra stiffness, good dimensional stability and a clean technical finish.
Carbon-fibre reinforced nylon parts shown in their working assembly, demonstrating practical mechanical use rather than visual prototyping.
Bespoke ducting and adapter geometries produced as functional polymer parts without dedicated tooling.
Substantial custom geometry manufactured as a one-off or low-volume component with a clean technical finish.
Use additive manufacturing where conventional machining, fabrication or tooling would be disproportionate to the quantity, lead time or development stage.
Three specialist material systems for engineering teams pushing structural strength, service temperature, chemical resistance or lightweight flexibility. Selection starts with the load case, environment, required life and failure consequence.

Carbon-fibre-reinforced PPA is one of the strongest polymer material systems available to us. Selected grades deliver metal-like strength alongside high heat resistance, exceptional stiffness, dimensional stability and far better retention of mechanical performance in humid conditions than conventional PA6-CF.
Useful for: structural machine components, loaded jigs and fixtures, mechanical prototypes, automotive parts and high-temperature engineering applications.

Carbon-fibre-reinforced PPS combines high stiffness with exceptional thermal stability, very low moisture uptake and strong resistance to solvents and chemicals. The reference grade is also UL94 V-0 flame-retardant.
Useful for: hot-zone components, chemically exposed fixtures, electrical and automotive parts, precision tooling and demanding industrial environments.

TPU Air provides a tailorable balance of density, softness and cushioning, allowing anything from a denser flexible component to a much lighter foam-like part within one material family.
Useful for: cushioning, vibration damping, protective interfaces, grips, seals, lightweight flexible parts and compliant robotics components.
Reference figures shown are manufacturer-published material data for specific grades and test conditions. “Metal-like strength” reflects manufacturer terminology for the referenced PPA-CF grade and does not mean every printed part is a direct metal replacement. Finished-part performance depends on geometry, load case, orientation and service condition.
Process settings, nozzle choice, orientation and material are selected around the job. Fine technical features can be produced where the component requires them.

Here are some real samples of what our customers are saying about us.
Phoenix Additive has supported projects well beyond the UK, with customers across Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.
What started in North Wales now supports customers around the world. From one-off prototypes to repeat production work, Phoenix Additive has delivered to a broad international customer base.
Send over the basics of the job and, if you have them, attach your CAD files, drawings or reference images. We’ll review the part, quantity and application and come back to you with the most suitable route.
You do not need to know the material or manufacturing details yet. Tell us what the part needs to do and we can advise from there.
